Here at Peterz Weel we are proud to support MIFQ (Mental Illness Fellowship Queensland).
Through our support we are able to assist MIFQ to offer positive, life changing services to those living with mental illness, their families and carers. Our support not only provides essential programs and services but also assists to raise awareness of mental illness in the community and fight against the stigma.
Last year, MIFQ delivered 27 programs and services across five communities in Queensland, supported more than 23,000 people through individual and group support programs, and information and referrals.
“When Jill* entered our service, she struggled with managing aggression, completing household tasks and maintaining housing. Through personalised support, Jill* learnt how to communicate with others and began to develop the skills she needed to manage independent living. Although it is a slow journey, Jill* continues to make positive changes in her life.”
Donations help people, like Jill*, who live with mental illness to develop the skills they need to manage their own life and re-connect with their community.
If you would like to donate or contribute in any way contact Peter.
